About I used to be a wildland firefighter. Gritty and working outdoors all the time. My camera was always with me while I was in the field and I soon discovered I was better at creating photos than snuffing flames. And that was in the days of film. So I went back to school to study photojournalism. That landed me an internship at KPTV-12 and then a full time job in local t.v. news. Which led to a job as a radio reporter/producer for OPB, the local NPR affiliate. I worked the Portland news market for 16 years. That gave me the chance to photograph all sorts of cool events and people. After an amazing photojournalism trip to Egypt, the siren call of being a professional photographer was sealed. I also became an expert in audio editing and production. Combining that with my photography, I've produced dozens of award winning multimedia audio slideshows and news web content over the years. I'm now a full-time, professional photographer who specializes in creative, fun, inspiring fitness photography and model portfolios.
